Long Run This Week

Due to the Holiday week, we decided to turn our run week around...we started out with a 6 on Monday, a 5 on Wednesday and a 4 on Friday...Ashby ran her first 5 miles this week...CONGRATULATIONS (yes, we had to trick her...but that is ok, because she did it!)  then Friday after we ran our 4 miles we walked our kids to Cracker Barrel for 3 moms and 5 little was about 3.5 miles..we all had ideas of french toast, blueberry or blackberry pancakes...and two of the kiddos decide they will have cereal...they walked all that way for cereal....the things that motivate us!! Hoping everyone had a great holiday....see you next week...gotta run

Kelli's first goal...CHECK IT OFF

Ok, Kelli has 4 be at 150 lbs by December 30th, if this happens, I have to run a mile with 20lb weighted vest (I am 5feet 8 inches and weight 125) should be fun....second is to run a 1/2 marathon..we are on our Virginia Beach in March...third is to run a 5k in under 30 minutes (PR 30:18)...and lastly, to run 3 miles in under 30 minutes (Jingle Bell Run, here she comes)....well goal.... accomplished on  11/15/10...29:59...YEAH!!!

Only three more goals to meet...we are well on our way....

Friday's Long Run 11/12/10

Ok, we went out for a nice easy 6 miler....and ended up finishing at a 10:30 pace.  Our goal for the team was to be under 11:00, well, looks like we will need another goal...everyone is doing so great!!  They were talking about when we first started and they could only run a 1/2 mile; we added mileage each week...and here we are at 6 miles already and now working on some speedwork.. We have been doing fartleks and some sprints on our 3 and 4 mile runs...and it is paying off as our 11:00+ pace is now a thing of the past....come Monday we will need to discuss what our new goals will be so we can accomplish those as proud of YOU!!
